October Newsletter

Welcome Friends to my October Newsletter,

Rounding out September, it feels like the longest month of the year so far, drawing out the end of summer and very gently easing into what is only just starting to feel like autumn for me. I do like autumn and soup season. I could light the fire! But I’ve also been noticing the darker nights creeping in, especially during Wednesday night practice, when we start in the light and finish in the dark quite quickly. Even Tuesday night yoga is starting to feel much darker by the time we finish, reminding me that taking opportunities to get outside during the day, while the sun is still shining, is even more important. So, let this be your reminder: if you haven’t been outside today, see if you can take a few moments in the sun. If you’re reading this at night, put it on your to-do list for tomorrow.

Here also is a reminder of my October classes & events!

Public Speaking Workshop

I am excited to be hosting a session of my public speaker workshop Practical Tips for Confident Delivery, this month! Public speaking is such a wonderful tool for sharing your message clearly, whether you need to give a presentation at work or speak up at a local event. In this interactive 2-hour online session, I’ll be sharing down-to-earth, achievable techniques to help you gently ease those nerves and feel far more confident in your delivery.

The workshop is this week! 8th October 2026 18:30-20:30 (online)

To help make this accessible, I’m running a Community Offer which automatically discounts £2 off your ticket at checkout (bringing it to £8.50). Plus, every paying adult is welcome to register a teenager (ages 11–18) to join the live Zoom session for free. A great opportunity if you have a young person looking to build their confidence! Advance booking is required, and you can reserve your spot online here.

When I ran this workshop last month in Market Drayton, one of the participants asked a fantastic question about body language, they were keen to dive into what our posture and gestures are communicating. It got me thinking about how much weight and worry we often place on body language when speaking. In my view, it’s not something we need to overthink. When you cultivate genuine inner confidence, your body language naturally takes care of itself. I was inspired to explore this further and wrote a whole post in my journal dedicated to the topic, which you can read here if you’d like to catch up!

In person yoga classes Higher Heath

I’m delighted to share that I have spaces available in both my Tuesday and Wednesday night yoga classes in Higher Heath. Whether you’re looking to return to your mat or feeling curious and considering joining us for the first time, I would love to welcome you into the room.

To help keep these weekly sessions running and thriving as a community, class investments are offered on a termly basis, which always offers the best rate for those who can commit to the full block. However, if your schedule needs a bit more room to breathe, I also have a limited number of single drop-in spaces available.

You can find all the information and book your spot via Classes & Events or simply send me a quick email and I’ll happily send over the details.

Higher Heath Class Schedule:

An Update on Monthly Sunday Zoom Sessions

I have made the decision to pause and cancel my monthly Sunday Zoom relaxation sessions for the rest of this year.

To be completely transparent with you, I haven't given these sessions the promotion or priority they deserve in my schedule lately. Rather than rushing them and offering something half as good as it could be, I am stepping back to rethink how I deliver them for next year.

Rest assured, these sessions aren't going away for good! If you love the deep relaxation, breathwork, or meditation practices, I am currently looking at how to package these into dedicated, ad-hoc workshops throughout next year so I can deliver them to you in the absolute best way possible. Keep an eye out for updates on those in the coming months!

Thank you so much as always for being such a supportive community. I look forward to seeing you online for our workshop or back on the mat in Higher Heath very soon!

Warmly,

Rachel Xx
