April Newsletter
Dear Friends, Happy Easter!
I have been enjoying some time off recently and fully disconnected for the past couple of weeks. I have been getting into the garden as much as I can. I have a sizeable allotment area at home where I grow fruit and vegetables, and spring is when everything starts to come to life. I have been sowing seeds, planting new varieties, and catching up on some much-needed maintenance.
I have also been focusing on my own yoga practice. A couple of weeks ago I joined a beautiful extended practice for Ostara, the Spring Equinox, and it felt completely nourishing.
Over the years, gardening has given me a deep sense of connection to the seasons. I have loosely followed the Wheel of the Year for some time, and now I align to it more intentionally. While it is a modern framework, bringing together seasonal festivals from across Europe, the rhythm of it simply makes sense to me. It offers a way to notice, reflect, and move with the natural shifts in the year.
This seasonal rhythm has inspired the next term of Pause & Breathe, which returns on 15th April. I am also working behind the scenes to launch in person yoga classes at Higher Heath Village Hall, starting in June.
Thank you, and enjoy the rest of the bank holiday weekend

Yoga with Rachel
Registration is now open for my in-person yoga classes.
These will be 75-minute classes running on Tuesdays from 17:30 to 18:45 at Higher Heath Village Hall. The first term will be an 8-week block designed to support my Level 4 Diploma in Yoga Teaching with the British Wheel of Yoga.
To register, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/kwomfCxsD4hyDUUd8
My teaching is based on BWY principles of working in stages. It is rooted in Hatha yoga, shaped by over 20 years of personal practice. These are real, supportive classes designed to help you move in a way that meets you where you are, on that day. Teaching in stages allows you to explore different variations of each posture, so you can find what works best for your body. This makes it an ideal space if you are completely new to yoga, and equally valuable if you already have experience and want to deepen your understanding. The 75-minute format allows for a full practice, including movement, breathwork, relaxation, and meditation.
The first term will include 8 classes and costs £80. As an introductory offer, anyone who registers and pays before 15th May 2026 will receive 25% off, bringing the total to £60.
I am aiming to start on 2nd June 2026 and will need a minimum of 8 people for the classes to go ahead, so if you are interested, please sign up as soon as you can. The term will then run from 2nd June to 7th July, with additional classes on 21st and 28th July (no class on 14th July).
Breathe
Pause & Breathe
Pause & Breathe is a gentle, guided space to slow down, reconnect with your breath, and feel more calm, grounded, and present in your body. Classes are 30 minutes on Zoom. Come as you are, no equipment needed.
This term is inspired by Beltane, the next point in the Wheel of the Year at the start of May. Traditionally associated with vitality, growth, and aliveness, it marks a natural shift in the season. Using this as our guide, the sessions gently move from grounding and awareness towards soft release and, when it feels right, a sense of expansion and renewed energy, always in a way that feels safe and supported.
Classes are run on a drop-in basis with no minimum commitment. They are £5 per session and take place on Wednesdays at 20:30. You will receive a weekly reminder email with the Zoom link. If you are not already signed up, you can register here: https://tr.ee/Q44Kv-G7dr
Term Dates: 15th April 2026 – 20th May 2026, 20:30-21:00
Current Offers:

Voice
Public speaking and confidence
Alongside breathwork and yoga, I also work with individuals & small groups who want to feel more confident speaking in front of others.
After more than twenty years delivering professional presentations and software demonstrations, I now help people develop confidence in public speaking using an embodied approach. That means we work not just on what to say, but on how the body and nervous system influence how we communicate.
If you are ever curious about this work, I am always happy to have a short conversation to explore whether it might be useful for you. There’s no pressure and no obligation.
Free Digital Marketing Training
I have a free in-person upcoming session in partnership with Make It Market Drayton on Tuesday September 8th, 13:00-15:00. Advanced booking is required, tickets can be obtained here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/public-speaking-free-digital-marketing-training-tickets-1982000446690
